'Out of deference,' Obamas to meet Mandela family but will not visit hospital

PRETORIA, South Africa -- U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will meet on Saturday with relatives of anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela, but they will not visit the hospital where the former South African president is critically ill, the White House said.
Obama is in South Africa on the second stop of a three-nation Africa tour. His visit had triggered intense speculation that the United States' first African-American president might visit 94-year-old Mandela in the Pretoria hospital where he has spent three weeks being treated for a lung infection.
"Out of deference to Nelson Mandela's peace and comfort and the family's wishes, they will not be visiting the hospital," the White House said in a statement.

Nelson Mandela Placed On Life Support Machine As Burial Plans Commence

The tribal leaders of ailing Nelson Mandela have been told to prepare for his death.
According to reports from reliable sources, the 96-year-old ex-South African president has been placed on a life support machine in the hospital.
The grandson of Mandela, Mandla and a few tribal leaders are set to visit the hospital for further talks with Madiba’s family members.
According to report from South Africa, Mandela is no longer able to breathe by himself.
He’ll be buried in Eastern Cape as his family prepare for the worst.
Also there are series of tribal rituals that’ll be performed by the nation through his funeral ceremony.
As a Methodist devotee, he’ll be given a proper Christian burial.
Few days ago, President Zuma said Mandela is in critical condition. He urged the nation to pray for him.
We also learnt the daughter of the ailing hero, Zindzi Mandela told her father “Obama is coming.. He opened his eyes and gave her a smile”

The 27-year-old, who cannot be named to protect the girl, allegedly confessed to cops that he sèxually assaulted the 3-year-old “too many times to remember.” The sickening acts were carried out over a period of six months in front of the girl’s mom, who reportedly soothed her hands “so it wouldn’t hurt so much.” It’s also claimed he took illicit pictures of the girl “for his own sèxual gratification,” forced her to watch disgusting child P0*n and had showers with her. The couple, who lived at the Avalon Hotel in Jackson, are believed to have abused the girl between late last year until May. Social services were called in May 7 after reports she was displaying “sèxualized behavior,” had asked her brother for sèx and wanted to watch a P0*n movie.  The man was arrested by Blackman-Leoni Township public safety detectives on Thursday and arraigned on 12 counts of first-degree sèxual misconduct. He allegedly confessed to cops that he attempted to have sèx with his daughter six times, but that in reality it occurred “too many times to remember.” His wife, who revealed she had been sèxually abused by her husband, reportedly admitted to helping him perpetrate the crimes. The graphic details were revealed in a Department of Human Service petition. Staffers are trying to terminate the couple’s parental rights. Police continue to investigate. The wife has so far not been charged with any crime,reports MLive.

Rapper 2 chainz robbed in broad day light

 US rapper 2 Chainz was reportedly robbed in broad daylight just hours before his appearance at a show in San Fransico. 2 Chainz went on the record to deny the incident ever happened, but TMZ has produced a video showing the robbery go down. According to the description from TMZ, 2 Chainz fell to the ground while trying to make his escape and was pounced upon by the gunman who took his wallet and jewellery.

Really touching!!!.....Read Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's suicide letter

Bollywood actress, Jiah Khan, 25, committed suicide  by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom at her residence in Mumbai on Sunday June 2nd when her mother and sister were not home.

A six-page suicide letter was found by Jiah's mother at their home a few days after the suicide and has been released to the police and the press. In the letter, Jiah blamed her boyfriend for ruining her life, cheating on her and forcing her to abort their child.

Jiah's ex-boyfriend, 21 year old Suraj Pancholi, the son of famous Bollywood actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was arrested yesterday Monday June 10th, on suspicion of abetting her suicide.

Composer of Nigeria's National Anthem Benedict Odiase passes on

 

 The composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, Pa Benedict Odiase has passed on. Mr Odiase died last night in his sleep. He composed Arise O Compatriots” in May 1978. Pa Odiase retired in 1992 as a Deputy Commissioner of Police after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band.

 Such a sad news to report. Nigeria's oldest practicing musician, Pa Fatai Olayiwola Olagunju, popularly known as* *Fatai Rolling Dollar has passed on. He died this morning at Marritol Hospital, Sam Sonibare Street in Surulere after a brief illness. One of his wives, Funmulayo Olagunju, confirmed his death. He was 85 year old. He is survived by three wives, including a German and 16 children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.
